In his role as grant writer for science, technology, engineering and math education research, Dr. Harrison works with USC faculty and collaborators to prepare quality research grant applications for submission. He assists with proposals and policy/procedure questions for major STEM sponsors including National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, Department of Defense, NASA, and National Institute of Health. In addition to writing and editing grants, Harrison identifies funding opportunities relevant to USC STEM research.
Before joining the Carolina Grants and Innovation Hub, Harrison worked as image analysis lab manager and research specialist in the Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences at Clemson University. He has also worked in a variety of teaching and laboratory technician roles, including at the Medical University of South Carolina and the United States Department of Agriculture. Harrison earned his Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of South Carolina Upstate and his Ph.D. in animal and veterinary sciences from Clemson University.
