Comprising four linear feet, Dr. Moore’s papers provide insight into her notable
career as educator and activist from the 1970s and 2000s. In the ERA/NOW series,
there are meeting minutes, memorandums, Pro-ERA and Anti-ERA literature and LWV ERA
files from 1970, which Dr. Moore inherited as LWV ERA Chair. Within the Personal
series, there are two scrapbooks, a timeline, and a transcript from a class visit
that offer detailed insights into the hardships and successes of women during the
1980s. In addition, about a dozen of Dr. Moore’s estimated seventy speeches and interviews
are included in the scrapbooks and in the general folder.
