The USC Dance Company performs a mixed repertory of timeless classics and contemporary works. Featured will be George Balanchine’s Walpurgisnacht, staged by Stacey Calvert, as well as three new works. Suite of Old American Dances, by American composer Robert Russell Bennett, will be turned into a new choreographic work by Heather Stokes. Conductor Cormac Cannon will lead the USC Symphonic Winds in this piece. We’ll also feature a new world premiere by Associate Professor Thaddeus Davis, recipient of the Choo San Gho choreographic award, as well as an original work by visiting guest artist Miriam Barbosa.
