We offer five M.F.A. degree options in theatre including acting, scenic design, costume design and technology, lighting design and directing.
The theatre program offers an array of performance, design and direction degrees. Whatever field of specialization you choose to pursue, know you'll experience an exciting path of both learning and doing.
Whether you're applying acting techniques in scene work or on stage, crafting designs
for productions, teaching theatre in public schools or presenting research, you'll
receive an active education that prepares you for real-world challenges. Benefit from a faculty of
professionals who maintain careers outside of the classroom, as well as an extensive
guest artist program which brings in professional directors, designers and actors
to work alongside students.
As part of your studies you'll actively participate in productions in outstanding
facilities guided by a faculty of accomplished masters in the field. Our approach
marries classroom studies, studio work and practical experience in the area of your
interest, resulting in a personalized program of study which challenges and develops
your individual artistic talents.
